I am always open to new habits that will enhance my life. Recently, I have been listening to classical/jazz station on the car radio and it has had quite a profound impact.
I notice I am driving more slowly, I feel less impatient and stressed. I have heard some great pieces of music and it has had a soothing, nourishing and loving effect on me.
I have done news fasts often in the past and I rarely watch commercial or live television. If the news is that important you hear about it and who needs the screaming crap from TV in their life?
Most of us know what foods we should eat and avoid the “bad” stuff. Many of us have learned to walk away from negative friendships. Yet we pay little or no attention to what goes in our ears.
So I have a challenge for you…
Over the next 2 weeks, tune to your local classical public radio station while in the car. I don’t use Sirius or Pandora but I bet they have great commercial-free classical offerings also.
2 weeks, 14 days, that’s it!! What have you got to lose? (Well, besides road rage, anxiety, stress, headaches.)
